Pipe Video Inspection System RV-4

Type RV4 is a specially designed system for visual video inspection of inside surfaces of pipes. It consists of an integrated insertion unit with two high resolution CCD Cameras, One looking forward & the other looking at side ( 90 Degrees ) . They provide high resolution live images of the pipe surface. Two separate LED arrays Illuminate the required area of the pipe under inspection. The entire unit can be attahed to a long metallic pole of desired length which acts as a handle for insertion in the barrel. The entire unit is very ugged & robust to withstand a sustained use on the cnstrution sights.

Both the cameras an be interfaced with the computer for image processing with a user friendly software & allows the user in achieving desired quality standards & inspection of wear on the inside surface of the barrel. Visual inspection can easily detect any defects such as removal of chromium plating, Pitting, erosion, scoring & cracks. The latest trend in quality management programs require record of the inspection to be made & retained for future reference. By introducing video inspection the data can be substantiated as traceable records are readily available. In absense of a computer the images can be seen on a TV.

Both the cameras are interfaced with the Computer for image capture & processing with a user friendly software.

Visual inspection can easily detect any defects such as removal of chromium plating, pitting, copper deposition erosion, corrosion & cracks. The latest trend in quality management programs require record of inspection to be made & retained for future reference. By introducing video inspection the data can be substantiated as traceable records are easily available.

RV4 System can be inserted in the pipe by a Carriage or Pig which moves it freely inside the pipe concentrically. The pig is equipped with scissor type expansion legs which can be adjusted manually.

RV4 system has two built in independent illumination systems fitted on both front & side cameras. Infra red as well as daylight illumination is provided by powerful LED arrays. Infra red system gives clear & sharp black & white images in total darkness while the other illumination system gives sharp Color images. The daylight LED array illumination can be increased or decreased.. The LED arrays last for a long time & consume minimum power.

The integrated insertion unit can be attached to a series of threaded metallic pipes of desired length. The threaded pipes pole acts as a handle for RV4 system head (insertion Unit) for insertion & rotation in the pipe. The threaded pole has markings for insertion length measurement . Guide rings of desired bore diameter can be attached to the RV4 system head . Alternatively RV4 head can be attached to a pig going inside the pipe. The real time images can be observed & saved on a laptop / desktop computer.

A built in color Quad system in the control cabinet allows the operator to see both Front view ( 0 Degrees) as well as side view ( 90 Degrees) simultaneously on electronically split computer / TV Screen. It is also possible to switch on Only Front or Only Side View .The RV4 system is also capable of bypassing the quad system & connect to the computer / LCD TV directly. All the electrical & electronic control circuits & power supply are housed in a portable control cabinet. The electrical & electronic circuitry is designed with a lot of redundancy & uses deliberately overrated components . In absence of 220V AC power supply RV4 System is capable of independently working on 12V vehicle battery.
